March 15th, 2007
I will not have the video for a little while because I didn't have anyone there to film it. But, I will get the video from the guy who shoots it and sells them, but I am not sure how long it will take. Regardless, to end the suspense, I lost...again. Another tough fight, kind of a slug fest. My opponent was the 2006 Super-Heavyweight Novice Champion. He is about 6'3", 250 and trains at Gleanson's. I didn't think he'd be that good, but he fought a good fight and was able to take a lot of good shots too. Everyone tells me it was a crowd pleaser, with lots of big punches landed. It's hard to analyze before I see it on video. I will get it up here as soon as I can. I don't think I am hanging up my gloves just yet, for those of you who are wondering.
March 8th, 2007 - Of the 11 guys that entered The Super-Heavyweight Open Division, only 8 showed up tonight. So, we all got byes into the Quarter-Finals next week in Staten Island. That worked out for me since I was coming off of a hyper-extended elbow from last Wednesday. It'll take 2 wins to get into the Finals at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Hopefully I will get the first one next Thursday. Be there if you can.
